How we charge

Salisbury FS believes in transparency and our fees will be agreed with you, before we commence any chargeable work.

Our fee varies subject to the complexity of the work involved and will be agreed with you in advance. Typically our fee for initial advice is £3,172.50. (no VAT).

If you proceed with implemention, fees can be charged directly to your new product(s) or invoiced directly to you, if you prefer.

Implementation Fee

We charge an implementation fee when you proceed with your financial plan. Typically this fee will cover:

  • Meeting required to complete the application process
  • Establishing your new product(s) with your provider(s)
  • Implementing your investment strategy
  • Liaising with you and your provider to complete your implementation
  • Maintaining your internal record

Ongoing Service Fee

We charge an annual service fee, which contributes towards the costs of providing our ongoing service to you.

Salisbury FS offer a range of ongoing services, tailored to your needs. The service we will provide to you and the ongoing cost (normally charged directly to your portfolio) at a minimum will include;

  • Access to your adviser all year round
  • Annual progress update (in writing)
  • Annual income sustainability forecasting
  • Annual meeting (in person, online – as preferred)
  • Liaising with your professional connections (agent, accountant, lawyer)
  • Periodic risk assessment
  • Ongoing monitoring of your financial plan and underlying investment portfolio
  • Maintaining your internal record
  • Capital gains tax planning & recommendations
  • ISA purchases (within your portfolio)
  • Portfolio administration
  • Contribution towards the firm’s Indemnity Insurance and overhead

Our typical ongoing service fee is 0.8%pa, usually charged directly to your portfolio. As an example, if the value of your portfolio was £500,000, our service fee will be £4,000pa.

For larger portfolios, Salisbury FS may discount the ongoing service fee, subject to the complexity of your financial plan.

Where fees are charged as a percentage of the value of your portfolio, the monetary amount deducted may increase as the value of your portfolio rises. If the value of your portfolio falls in value, the monetary amount deducted will also reduce.

“Thank you so much for all that information! It is always so good to get your clarification and I know you would let me know if any changes were necessary - very reassuring for me!”
